About NEABA

Founded in 1992, NEABA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting cycling throughout Northeast Alabama. We strive to highlight the health and lifestyle benefits of all types of cycling by organizing and sponsoring high-quality cycling events, while encouraging both recreational riding and cycling as a practical mode of transportation.

NEABA welcomes riders of all backgrounds and skill levels. Whether you enjoy carving through flowing singletrack, cruising the open road on skinny tires, or taking a relaxed ride along a greenway trail, NEABA has something for you. Come ride with us!

Our club hosts a variety of premier events, including the Cheaha Challenge Gran Fondo & ULTRA (road), Coldwater Trail Race (MTB and trail run), Alabama A$$ Whoopin’ (gravel), and the annual Coldwater Mountain Fat Tire Festival. We are also proud supporters of area events such as the Noble Street Festival and Sunny King Criterium, Shred for Sloan, Assault on Sunset Hill 3/6-Hour MTB Race, Eagle Rock Easter Classic, and the Alabama Cycling Association youth race series (grades 6–12).

In addition, we actively support and promote our local trail systems, including Coldwater Mountain Bike Trail, McClellan Mountain Bike Trails, Black Creek Mountain Bike Trails, Chief Ladiga Trail, and Wiggins Community Center Trails.
